Paula graduated with her BA in December 2002 and enrolled to do her Masters in September 2002. She graduated in April 2004. For her Masters dissertation she investigated the implemetation and administration of Restorative Justice Initiatives in Ireland. Paula's PhD research interests included restorative justice, juvenile crime and conferencing. This doctoral study will be submitted early in 2010.
Paula is currently conducting a comparative study of restorative justice initiatives in the Republic of Ireland.
Her professional career has included positions with the Institute of Public Administration, University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin.
Paula is currently a lecturer in Sociology and Criminology in the Institute of Technology in Sligo, where she also works with their Custodial Care programme. Paula is the Senior Editor of the Journal of Social Criminology, a peer-reviewed academic journal with a focus on criminology and criminal justice issues. http://www.socialcriminology.webs.com/
